A discussion of the challenges, supports and approaches for a transition to assisted living, for the caregiver and the resident.
Monday, December 9, 2019, 6:00-8:30 pm, Fellowship Room
A discussion of caregiver stress and caregiver self-care.
Details
This Discussion Group will be limited to 12 participants. Therefore, registration (below) is required as soon as possible. Additional participants will be added to a wait list for future series.
These professionally facilitated sessions will offer themed presentations and a support group for participants to benefit from discussion with professionals and others who are experiencing similar circumstances.
Care practitioners from Christie Gardens will present four sessions to the group over the course of several weeks this fall. The sessions will include a short presentation, group discussions and Q&A opportunities. A refreshment time will be included. A list of resources will be available for participants.

As well, Claudia may be joined by a professional educator, nurse, patient advocate and care practitioners from Christie Gardens on certain topics
Cost
The contribution of $40 per person will be used as an honorarium to give to the Christie Gardens Benevolent Fund in appreciation of the presentation series. Established in 1998, The Foundation assists residents who have outlived their financial resources and who are unable to cover the full cost of their care.
