SENIORS: PGCOS defines seniors as individuals 55 years of age or older. PGCOS defines everyone under the age of 55 as seniors-in-training!
MEMBERS: PGCOS members include five seniors activity centers, various retiree organizations and community organizations concerned about seniors issues, as well as a number of individual seniors unaffiliated with those centres or groups.
GOVERNANCE: PGCOS is a registered society in good standing and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of representatives from member organizations. Executive officers are chosen at each Annual General Meeting.
HISTORY: PGCOS was formed in 1990 by a group of local seniors who believed in the social benefits of group advocacy.
