WHO WE ARE
We are dedicated to promoting the independence and well-being of older adults in Newfoundland and Labrador through the provision of information as well as various programs and services.
We provide invaluable services throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. We rely heavily on the devotion of volunteers, the financial generosity of individuals and corporations, and funding from various levels of government. Without these partnerships, our programming wouldn’t be available to seniors in Newfoundland and Labrador.
We offer information and referral services through a dedicated team of peer-support volunteers, as well as support, outreach and recognition of caregivers, and serve as a member of the NL Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse.
Did you know that we have been around since 1989! We have come a long way to becoming the only seniors’ organization that provides information and resources specific to seniors needs and for those who support them ( friends/family and service providers).
Have a look at our tremendous work over the years to promote senior engagement and independence through information. Thanks to Yvonne Jacobs, past staff person and now longtime volunteer for compiling this historical document.
